The Seance Project is an innovative exploration of memory and identity, where ghosts serve as conduits for a deeper understanding of our past and present selves. Each ghost, rooted in a highly structured and well-composed knowledge base, is designed with behavioral prompts that guide users through a narrative labyrinth, mirroring the complex layers of human memory and emotion. The project draws inspiration from the concept of “Ghost in the Shell,” where the essence, or ‘ghost,’ of these entities navigates the ‘shell’ of their digital canvases, prompting users to question the nature of identity in a prefabricated world. Seance becomes a mirror reflecting the fragmented echoes of our own identities, urging us to confront and reconcile with the ghosts of our own making.
